Yeah, but you can't just justify murdering someone because they rely on someone else. A baby outside the womb wouldn't survive without the constant care of it's mother either, most people go their whole lives dependent on other human beings. There are so many old people and disabled people who need just as much if not more care than a baby does from other humans. It doesn't make it ok to just end someone's life because you now have to be responsible for them and care for them, especially if it was your own fault anyway. Obviously there are cases where it wasn't the mother's fault she got pregnant, like if she was raped or something, but over half of all abortions today are repeat abortions. There's a lot wrong with that...

What are we going to do after we decide what it's ok for other people to do?

Well Jude when you have one of those ideas about what people can do, there are a few steps for it to become a law. It starts with a Bill. Anyone can have an idea for a Bill!! Over 10,000 are introduced per year! First the Bill is introduced to a member of the House or Senate, and has it's first reading. It is then referred to a House or Senate Committee, which is the hardest step for it to get through because thousands a year get rejected here and can't move on! The Committee can then report the Bill to members of the House or Senate and the Bill will have it's second reading. The members debate on the Bill and have their first vote. Then just to be sure everyone was awake and present and not having a quickie in the bathroom, it gets read AGAIN and has the final debate and vote!!! If it passes (woohoo!!!) the Bill will get sent to the second chamber where this process repeats. This is to make sure no bullshit halfass Bill gets passed our accomplished elected officials. If House and Senate Bill's differ after making amendments, it gets sent to another committee!!! If passed, the Bill may be signed in as a law or vetoed by Mr. Obama. Once the law is put into place, we carefully make sure that no hooligans violate this precious rule and make sure to lock them up for as long as possible when they do.
/end sarcasm

Today we were sitting in math class taking a test and the intercom came on and our principle was like "Excuse me for the interruption, but we would now like to have every class down in Gym A for a school meeting. Leave your bags in the classrooms because we will be returning before the block ends. We're sorry for an inconvenience this may have caused." So we all went down to the gym, and when everyone was seated they closed the doors and had the biggest male teachers stand in front of them and a cop at the main door. So everyone was like wth... and then our principle was like "We now have 11 dogs from the state of Maine canine drug search unit in the building and in the parking lot. We ask that you stay seated until they complete the search." It was so awesome. Like every town in Maine sent a cop to our school with a dog, like when we went outside all the cars were pulling out and it was just like Arundel, Portland, Augusta, Old Orchard, Biddeford... and there was like 16 cars. And this one kid took off down the street the second we got out and some cop had to catch him and bring him back. And when we got back to class people's backpacks were missing. And they caught some kid with 4 ounces of marijuana. Some kid got a picture of them surrounding this one kid's car and searching it...

This place really needs to be reborn. I cannot believe it's been over two years since I've been here.
