So, I'm a vegan. A POOR vegan. Cool food ideas that I'll actually use are really neat. I'm also a food fan. This thread is basically for ideas you have that are groovy but not really 'recipes'.
Using walmart brand pizza sauce from a jar is a really neat substitute for pasta sauce if you have money issues and/or have to carry everything you buy home, like me. I think it's really good : D

If you put milk in a cake/cookie/brownie mix that calls for water it makes the whatever you're baking more moist and sometimes richer! : D

Let me tell you about Instant Instant Oatmeal. You take instant oatmeal... the kind in little packets... Quaker cause the walmart kind has pieces of hard stuff in it and that's a really goofy way to die... and you put it in a bowl... or a plastic dish if you're too lazy to wash a bowl... and you run the water til it's hot... and you put as much water in as you want... and you stir it up... and you EAT it. That's like instant twice, cause you don't cook. It's magical. Specially the cinnamon roll kind : D

DID YOU KNOW that if your plain oatmeal tastes all boring and you put brown sugar and syrup in it it'll taste less boring?

oil+water+a bit of baking soda=an egg, more or less, in baking.
I only use that for emergencies though. It doesn't taste quite as good, but it's better than waiting for somemone to get more eggs.

It DID! There were all these chunks of hard stuff in it and I didn't know until I began choking on them.

I wanna teach to you my favourite perfect burgers.
Favourite Perfect Burger Fast:
take on frozen vegan boca burger and pull its plastic open and microwave it for two minutes. take a hamburger bun that you may or may not (depending on you) have read the package of meticulously 23 times and put ketchup and mustard on. when the burger thingie beeps put it on the bun and put salt, pepper, and onion powder on. then microwave the whole thing 20 seconds. it will be warm and delicious *grin*
Favourite Perfect Burger Slightly Less Fast:
Take a boca burger just like last time but fry it on medium for 4 minutes on each side (i salt and pepper each side while it's cooking if i remember XD) covered up. at the same time be frying mushrooms... preferably baby bella mushrooms for me but it doesn't matter I don't think... and also toast in the toaster two slices of scali bread or italian bread or whatever kind of loafy bread is most favourite for you. after the burger cooked on both sides, flip it back over and put the mushrooms on. then put it on the bread with ketchup and YAY : D
btw, i flip it back over because the first side doesn't cook the same as the second side if you don't

10 oz (285g) plain tofu 2 tbsp vegetable oil 1 tsp turmeric 1 tsp herbs, chives or parsley Salt and pepper to season Toast spread with margarine
1. Mash the tofu evenly and fry it in the vegetable oil until evenly cooked. 2. Add the turmeric, herbs and season to taste. Cook a further few minutes. Serve on crispy toast spread with margarine.
You can also add fried mushrooms, sweet or hot peppers, onions, garlic... anything you like... to vary the recipe.

yeah i really gotta try that when i can get the stuff.
errrmm... i like potatoes. so i'm going to say how i make potatoes. i might have already but i'll do it again just in case. it's a pretty open recipe but all good.
take potatoes and chop them up how you like: in slices or wedges or chunks or whatever. put them in a pan that holds them and put some vegetable oil AND salt, pepper, sage, cilantro, paprika, rosemary, finely chopped onions, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder or whatever you like or have. mix them all up and cook them for 20 minutes on 350 and then stir or flip them and go 20 minutes more. there are some combinations of those spices and things that i find work well so i'll put my favourites to give you an idea. you pretty much need to use some oil or cooking spray or they'll stick down. canola cooking spray works best for me.
sage + onions + salt sage + garlic powder + salt minced garlic + salt + pepper paprika + salt rosemary + salt rosemary + minced garlic + salt
