How is your relationship with your parents? Do you still live with them? Do you feel like they're trying to warp you into some lovable little doll that isn't you that will make them feel like they succeeded at life? Go crazy my friends. Speak.

Mom isn't a mom. Doesn't do anything ever, doesn't care for her children in any way and yet believes she has a hold over us. I personally have a problem with fighting back at times though because I was raised to be respectful to my parents. Which is also nearly impossible with her. My mom and I have a very tense relationship, argue almost daily, and she's a drug addict.
Dad is the most amazing man in this world and I really think he's a huge part of what keeps me going. He's fun and loves doing things for/with his kids. I love him to death. We share lots of intimate moments and have quite a few inside jokes. He's very metro so he and I have a lot in common. We have the ability to sipmly look at each other and begin laughing simply because. Whenever my mom and I fight or he fights with herwe back each other up. Personally I don't know why he's still married for her. Idk if it's for us (kids) cause I hope not, or because he loves her.
All of my friend either hate or are scared of my mom and they all love my dad.

I'm glad your dad is so cool, Kya ^^ I might have to kidnap you otherwise *hmm*
I find my parents are heaps easier to get on with when they're not bossing me around. Mum is loads of awesome. She's always trying to take care of me but not bossing. Like buying me food and worrying about whether I have medicine. She's really great <3 Dunno where papa is.
You can talk about sister too if you want, Emma. Can talk about anything.

I guess my parents are pretty ok. I dunno. Like they're good people, but not always people I like.
I just watched The Fly 1 and 2 with my mom and laughed and talked. We do things like that sometimes, it's nice. The fights I get in with her are pretty standard stupid teenager things.
Pretty much the same with my dad. We get on fine.
Just sometimes they say things that bother me. Like my dad saying "fag" but he's still friends with a lot of gay people (lol "my best friend is black!" but seriously), he just doesn't seem to understand why stuff like that's not really ok to say, especially around me. And yeah, mom's the same way about things, I think.

That's sad, man. I totally get what you're saying. When I was in highschool my dad said I "didn't need to be hanging around with gay people." He was quite convinced they could warp me to evil :/ We're gonna have some pretty interesting conversations if I ever see him again...

I love my parents. I didnt always get along with dad, we had alot of fights-both of us are very stubborn and hard headed and opinionated. That and when he married my mom (hes not my biological father) I think maybe he didn't know what he was getting into as she had me and my brother already. But..as soon as it was clear I ws moving out and starting my own life....the rules and things like that were gone-I can do as I please, and could even during like..the last year I was living with them. My mom misses me alot I know and this year they even said theyw ere gonna make us an easter basket-for the hell of it-and that is something I havnt had since I ws like.....7 or something lol.

I know lol you say that alots I understand alot more now. I know if worse came to worse nd I had to move back in, they would still treat me like an adult. Now I can discuss things with my mom that...4 years ago would have terrified me.

Good. I think maybe it takes parents (some anyway) need to take time and...slowly realize thier kids arnt weak frail individuals to succumb to the evil world.

Yeah. Sometimes I think mum needs a break from my brothers AND they need a break too XD Like... I know for a fact my oldest brother doesn't handle orders much better than I do. And I agree with my younger brother that 13 is plenty old enough to decide what clothes he wants to wear. I try to tell mum that them being cross with her is nothing personal... I'm sure they'll both realize one day ^^

depends...I would have a problem if my 13 year old wanted to dress in a way that sent messages to others that may lead to a bad decision....Id stillbe there for them when they needed me if that happened, but I think all parents want to prevent things. Its normal. That and, maybe your parents think he should wear what they pay for, and buy what he wants when he can get a job. Then he can make the decision.
Like, I have seen my 8 year old cousin dressed in a way that makes her look damn near 14. Its scary because she is growing up way too fast and we have way too many family members who became pregnant at 14-18 and then they live off the government and some of the dated men who did tons of drugs and neglected and beat them.....
One cousin of mine ended up raped by her step father because her mom had to have her drugs (the guy was a huge dealer) and he told her if she ever told anyone what he was doing to her, he would cut her mothers head off and limbs off and do to her mom what he was doing to her, and then her sister and brothers.
i got off topic. Sorry.
But yeah I am happ my parents are who they are.

It depends on what you wanna call a bad decision. He wanted to wear a shirt that was from the girl's section... it looked cute on him. I don't get what the big deal was. And she won't let him buy clothes with his own money sometimes cause she thinks he'll get sick of them or whatever. I mean, I understand the reasoning, but it IS his money :/
That's a huge pity. Really. But you can't just not do anything cause something horrible might possibly happen. You'd never do anything.

I dont get why your mom had a problem with the shirt...my mom once was mad at me as a kid b/c I wanted tennis shoes from the guys section and these had the prettiest shade of turquoise on them. Dad chilled her out and I got them (school shoes) . There were a few times where I didnt want something she wanted me to wear bc it was too girly-funny bc I am very girly. Just didnt want her always picking out my clothes. Its a normal reaction for a child to have to the parent and for the parent to be like "what?" because of various reasons.
I do what I want but understand the parents wanting children to be careful. I will tell my kids that if or when they have sex, they use protection, and can come to me with questions. That they should wait until they feel ready themselves and not what their friends of bf/gf say. I mean..sex more than likely will happen and probably too soon (in my opinion) but I want to deal with it in a way that my kids can come to me about. Not make them run and hide and then maybe have unprotected sex and get a disease or pregnant..ya know?
One thing i want to say if I have a daughter to her is that if her bf (or a guy she is with) is pressuring her to have sex without a condom that she say no for her own self preservation...at a certain age I don't believe it is okay to do "whatever you want, whenever you want however you want" and POSSIBLY ruin your life. As an adult yes. But as a kid completely dependent on others? no....
